Envelope Manager Software today announced the release of AlphaMailer, its newest product for mail preparation that expands Envelope Manager's first class and bulk mail presorting capabilities to include support for extended, customizable databases, periodical mailings and e-mail. AlphaMailer includes Turbo Dial-A-ZIP for address verification, and provides both access to move updating information via the Internet with no setup fee and a subscription to the United States Postal Service (USPS) Address Matching System CD-ROM for non-Internet users. While many of these features are offered as options by other vendors, Envelope Manager Software is the first to combine them into a single, complete product.
AlphaMailer was designed to manage the complex regulations for bulk mailing, regardless of the type of mail. It offers presort options for automation and non-automation mailing of periodicals, letters and flats and also offers rate computation and printouts of USPS-required forms. The customizable database allows easy configuration of each field, providing greater mapping flexibility, the freedom to include a variety of information to database fields (not just addresses) and giving users a more robust database. Turbo Dial-A-ZIP provides address verification over the Internet at speeds comparable to CD-ROM. Using Turbo Dial-A-ZIP to correct and standardize addresses to United States Postal Service (USPS) specifications, PC users can verify up to 3000 addresses per minute. AlphaMailer also includes letter, fax and e-mail generation, so that users can take advantage of a variety of communication options, whether it is a single letter to a customer, an e-mail broadcast to a targeted list of prospects or a bulk mailing to every name in a database.
