Envelope Manager’s Internet-based FASTforwardSM process is an option available to 32-bit Envelope Manager users. It’s a unique, on-line method of comparing the names/addresses in your database with those listed in the USPS "Change of Address" (COA) files. The process checks to see if any of the people in your address list have instructed the USPS to forward their mail to a new address--a change of address record is added to the USPS database when a mailer submits a "Change of Address" card to a USPS office.
The process is similar to Envelope Manager’s Internet Dial-A-ZIP. Your records are compared to those in the COA file using your Internet connection--no waiting!
The USPS now requires "address correction" to receive presort discounts on First Class mailings.
USPS Requirements
The USPS also requires that a minimum of 100 unique addresses must be submitted for each job. Each job will be recorded against your account number, and reported on a monthly basis to the USPS. The actual addresses you submit are not recorded, just the accounting statistics (e.g. date of submittal, number of records submitted, number of move matches, etc).
Getting Started
Price options
You will need to sign a processing agreement that can be printed from the first FASTforward processing screen in Envelope Manager for Windows. This document has to be mailed to Envelope Manager Software and on file at our site before you can begin processing. The agreement is valid for a period of one year (renewable) and affirms that you will be using the COA information for mailing purposes only.
Envelope Manager for Windows 3.005.015 or later is required. This download is available free for all 32-bit users and for PAVE Gold Maintenance Package subscribers.
Once you have submitted a signed processing agreement (printed from the FASTforward processing screen in Envelope Manager for Windows), Envelope Manager will provide you a User Account Number, Password, and Encryption Key. You can use the FASTforward address change update process for a period of one year. You can renew this agreement.
