Announcing Batch ZIP+4 Lookup Over the Internet

PALO ALTO, CA, November 15, 1996 -- Envelope Manager Software announces the release of address verification and ZIP+4+2 digit look-up, i.e., CASS-certification, using TCP/IP connections over the Internet or from an organization's Intranet, without launching a browser. This cutting edge technology brings the number of Envelope Manager ZIP+4 lookup options to five: via modem to public or private ZIP-Stations, direct with a U.S. Postal Service Address Matching System (AMS) CD-ROM or an AccuMail/Group 1 CD-ROM, via Netware IPX/SPX protocol, and now, TCP/IP protocol.

Benefits of CASS-certification include verifying an address's deliverability, adding the correct ZIP+4 code, and identifying the 2 digit information essential for the creation of POSTNET delivery point barcodes, all are U.S. Postal Service requirements for automated mail.

"TCP/IP-based ZIP+4 lookup is another flavor of our patented Dial-A-ZIP technology," says Dr. Harry Whitehouse, President, "which to date has been offered as a direct modem dial-up or network SPX service. The Dial-A-ZIP benefit remains the same: to seamlessly integrate address verification with the task at hand, which is typically producing an automation compatible letter or label. With access to the Internet becoming more commonplace and attractively priced," says Dr. Whitehouse, "TCP/IP Dial-A-ZIP becomes the method of choice for accessing U.S. Postal Service ZIP+4/carrier route information."

Coming Soon!! A blazingly-fast T1 Internet connection and a new Quad-Pentium-Pro 200 Super Server!!
