What does "Codebase Error -70" mean?

Typically, "Codebase Error -70" means that your database's index files have been corrupted. This can happen after adding, deleting or modifying many records in the database. To take care of this problem:

  1. Choose the Options menu
  2. Choose Database
  3. Choose Create New Indicies
Envelope Manager will then prompt you to re-open the database. When you do so, Envelope Manager will ask if you would like to create new indices. Click on OK to continue.

If the problem returns repeatedly, do not just follow these instructions each time! Call our technical support department with the error message on the screen. If you are unable to call at that time, write down all of the text in the box with the error -70 exactly as it appears. Be sure to include the entire path with the three character extension at the end. (The path looks something like c:\winem\mydata.sdx.)
