Go to the File menu and choose Find. This function will examine all of your local hard drives and network drives to find every Envelope Manager database on your PC.
Note: If you see an error about accessing the D: drive (or whatever letter you use for your CD drive), insert a CD in the drive.
Once the program has found all of the Envelope Manager databases (or you have clicked Cancel), you can highlight then Open or Delete any database. By showing you the date last accessed, description, and number of records, the Find function makes it easier to know which databases to delete and which databases are on your system.
Note: If you have a large hard drive or can access many different drives, the Find function may take a long time. You do not need to wait for it to finish -- choose Cancel at any time. Remember, however, that you will not necessarily see all the available databases--just the ones the program found before you clicked on Cancel.
The record count will include any records which have been deleted but not yet purged from the database. Envelope Manager lists the databases in the order it finds them, but you can change the order by clicking on the buttons at the top of each column. For example, click on No. Records if you are looking for a small new database. If you don’t remember the name of the database you created yesterday, click on Date and scroll to the bottom of the list.
Note: To make this feature more useful, type a description whenever you create a new database. You can also add a description later by choosing File|Summary Database Info.
