I am getting double salutations when printing using DAZzle Express.

  1. When you initially import the addresses into DAZzle Express, map the full name to the Last Name field. This should work for files where the "Mr." and the name are all in the same field.
  2. If the name is split into pieces, like Mr. and John and Doe, map the "Mr." to the First Name field, the first name to the Middle Name field, and the last name to the Last Name field. You will lose the person's middle name this way, but "Mr. John Doe" is probably less objectionable than "Mr. Mr. John William Doe" would be.
  3. In order to do this mapping, you probably will need to say "No, the address is not correct" when prompted at the beginning of the import at the point where DAZzle guesses the appropriate way to map the fields. Then the program will give you the option to correct the mapping manually.
  4. Because this technique avoids the entire issue, this method works well even on carrier route mailings. The only drawback is that you have to remember to map this way every time you import.
